The old style of doing business sees large organisations retaining expensive pools of permanent staff. Your problems are required to fit their staff profiles.
Instead of trying to fit round pegs into square holes we specialise in building a team that perfectly matches the unique requirements of your project and which adapts and reforms to the changing circumstances as the work progresses.
Our skill, drawing from over thirty years of experience, is in building and adapting these customised partner relationships.
For government business-in-the environment programmes we provide information and advice on environmental enquiries on a daily basis. . We are, or have been, independent advisors for many government programmes (since 1995) including the Carbon Trust, Scottish Enterprise, WRAP, Envirowise, Arena (Wales), Zero Waste Scotland, and, providing government support to business across the UK on environmental affairs. We have worked with corporations, public sector organisations, schools and universities on legal compliance, energy, waste/recycling/composting, water, measuring & benchmarking performance, and facilitating communication with local councils and the local community. We have also provided hundreds of technical environmental audits to large businesses (including retailers, shopping centres and manufacturing industry) and SME businesses. This means we need to keep abreast of current and impending environmental legislation and stakeholder interests. Work has taken us to all regions of the UK and parts of the EU.
We take pride in developing practical solutions for industry and commerce. We have completed several hundred environmental audits and advisory visits for companies, from the Western and Northern Scottish islands to Kent and from Northern Ireland and West Wales to Greater Yarmouth. We have experience of most industrial and service sectors and understand the environmental issues that can affect an individual business. Power stations, car plants and assembly lines are as much of a challenge as shopping centres and high street stores.
Since 2001, we have managed the Retailers Supply Chain Partnership Project, a joint campaign initiative funded by Envirowise (Defra), the British Retail Consortium and the Carbon Trust to support retailers and their suppliers to reduce wastes and costs, improve efficiency and encourage best practice. Run on an annual basis, 37 retailers (including ASDA, M&S, Boots, Virgin and Home Retail Group) and over 600 suppliers have participated fully in training workshops, site visits and best practice case studies, with audited savings of around £15million, as well as significant environmental benefits.
Sustainable VenuesWe support the leisure and hospitality sectors, using this model, through our work with Manchester United in the "Reds Go Green" campaign (since 2002) and the Millennium Stadium (Cardiff).
We are currently working with Culture & Sport Glasgow and Edinburgh Leisure to improve environmental best practice in anticipation of the Commonwealth Games in 2014.
